When you come in with a need for service, we will offer some
advice if we can, and try to give you a discounted price on the
parts purchased.
Some tasks on a "ding list" can be done by you and that’s a "no
harm, no foul" attitude here.
We depend on our customers to decide what's right for them.
Here's a helpful tip: Don’t take it apart unless you know you can
put it together. Please. This will make all of us alot happier.
You can imagine, a basketful of miscellaneous parts will
definitely cost more because we will have to sort and re-assemble
the pieces.
Now on to our services
Fiberglass and gel coat
Structural and cosmetic repairs are done here, with color-matched
gel coat, so the repaired area is "invisible." Refinishing may
include manual color-sanding and buffing of deteriorated color, to
add new "life" to the colors.
Each job is estimated on its own based on the amount of repair
needed. No phone estimates are really possible so please take the
time to let us look at it.
Engine replacement
If an outboard engine powerhead has suffered failure, or an
inboard motor has "thrown a rod," only a professionally
remanufactured unit will be quoted. We do not rebuild powerheads or
motors here.
We service your needs with new units or units remanufactured by
companies who specialize in that field. This way we can offer their
warranty to our customers.
Propeller shaft and support strut
We deal with a company who manufactures underwater gear for the
majority of high performance ski-boat builders, and manufacturers of
the propellers used on such boats.
Even the larger "wheels" used on cruisers are often easily found
by us, eliminating long waiting-times for new replacements.
Repairs and refinishing and re-balancing of damaged propellers
can be done, but expect a minimum time of two weeks from the day we
send them out to the specialist shops.
Steering system repair
Whether it's rotary, rack and pinion, or hydraulic, we have
near-immediate access to parts for most systems or complete new
systems as needed.
Trailer wheel bearing service
If your hub seals have failed and are slinging grease everywhere,
you should have the assemblies torn down, have the seals replaced
and, at the very least, have the bearings re-packed with grease.
Some bearings may have already suffered damage and may need to be
replaced. Only disassembly can tell us that. |
